These Solar Cookers truly save women's lives. Firewood is not easy to come by in Chad and the Sudan. Each
day women must leave the safety of their camps to find sticks of wood for cooking fires. These women are often targeted by the Janjaweed thugs who brutalize them in terrible ways. A woman with two of these cookers does not need firewood.
